WELCOMING YOU

An inclusive community for all

Holy Trinity stands at the top of the High Street, by the castle, in the beautiful market town of Skipton - the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

It is the mother church of a parish which encompasses the delightful village of Draughton and the church of St Augustine.

Holy Trinity is an impressive church with significant history and architecture and an active and vibrant congregation.

We seek to be transformed as we follow the way of Christ helping to build a better, more generous, forgiving and loving society to the glory of God.

Why not join us, visit, pray, worship, spend time in the cafe and shop, or simply sit still in this unique building.

You will be most welcome.

OPEN DOORS

The doors of Holy Trinity are always open to the thousands of people from around the world who visit each year. A Grade 1 listed building with links to Richard III, Lady Anne Clifford and Skipton Castle,  the church is a living testament to the Christian faith that has shaped this country - an open door to the past, the present and the potential of the future. There is much going on at Holy Trinity, and the door of welcome and hospitality is always open.

OPEN SPACES

Holy Trinity offers space for everyone. A physically large church, with a large heart, embracing the variety of human experience through the unifying love of Christ. Our worship, outreach and nurture groups are open to all who wish to join in or discover more - there is sufficient space for us all to journey together in the way of Christ - space to seek the transformation and fullness of God's love and forgiveness.

OPEN MINDS

We believe in the vibrancy of God's creation, its challenges and beauty, and we keep our minds open to the ever present and expanding revelation of God. This means we listen carefully to one another and creation, valuing difference - honouring change when it brings love and dignity and holding fast to tradition when it does likewise. Our lecture series, arts and social events seek to deepen our journey
